Learn CASCAQit¶
Write a quantum circuit, control an array of atoms, or combine both in one experiment. CASCAQit is a Python SDK for local Digital, Analog and Hybrid simulation.
Start with installation, then run your first experiment and read its report. You need basic Python: running a script, importing a class and reading a dictionary. The lesson explains the quantum operations as you use them.
With a platform account, start in CASCAQit IDE and follow the notebook guide in your browser.
New to quantum computing? The eight foundation lessons introduce the ideas through small calculations. If you already have a research question, choose a route and start with the relevant experiment.
Choose an experiment¶
| What you want to explore | Where to start |
|---|---|
| Gates, measurement and parameterized circuits | Digital circuits |
| Atom positions, Rabi drive and detuning | Analog programs |
| Alternating gates and analog evolution on one state | Local Hybrid experiments |
| Plots and a shareable record of a run | Experiment reports |
Read the result before changing the experiment¶
A run returns counts, probabilities or observables along with configuration and diagnostics. Check the bit ordering before interpreting a bitstring. Keep the SDK version, parameters and random seed with your result so you can repeat the experiment later.
The physical conventions explain units and state encoding. Consult the API guide when you need a specific argument, and troubleshooting when a run fails. Check the current limitations before planning an experiment that depends on a particular backend or control feature.
Complete a project¶
Each project includes a runnable script, reports and raw data. Choose a question you can explain before expanding the experiment.
| Question | Project |
|---|---|
| How does atom spacing change driven evolution? | Rabi oscillations and interactions |
| How do three representations solve the same graph problem? | Three routes to MIS |
| Which changes come from the state, readout or sampling? | Noise in a Hybrid experiment |
| How do sampling and candidate selection affect VQE? | Finite-shot VQE |
