What can you do with CASCAQit?

CASCAQit lets you describe a quantum experiment in Python and simulate it locally. A program specifies operations; a backend runs the program; a result records what happened. Start by choosing what you want to control.

Model What you write A first question to investigate
Digital Gates and measurements in a Circuit How does a rotation angle change a measurement probability?
Analog Atom positions and control waveforms in an AHSProgram How does detuning affect excitation?
Hybrid Ordered Digital and Analog blocks in a HybridProgram What happens when gates prepare a state before analog evolution?

A Hybrid experiment passes one simulated quantum state through its blocks. Running each block independently and joining its counts would describe a different experiment. You will inspect this distinction in the shared-state material.

The first useful result

You do not need to learn the compiler before starting. In the first experiment, a one-qubit rotation returns sample counts and ideal probabilities. You can compare those numbers and save an HTML report from the same result.

Later lessons add parameters, atom arrays, noise and optimization. A Target describes constraints that a program can be checked against. Passing a Target check does not mean a real machine has executed the program.

What this site assumes

You should be able to run a Python script, read a dictionary and change a number. The foundation lessons supply the quantum and numerical ideas needed by the experiments. More experienced readers can use learning routes to skip material they already know.

These lessons run experiments with a local CPU simulator and introduce program validation and compilation. Follow the installation guide to prepare your Python environment.

Check your choice: if your independent variable is the detuning waveform at one atom, start with Analog. If it is a sequence of named gates, start with Digital. If you need gates and analog evolution to act on one state in sequence, use Hybrid. A classical parameter loop around a circuit alone does not require a Hybrid quantum program.

Next, install the environment.
